This coming Wednesday, folks. Come out and see what our opportunities and hurdles are. What happens if we don't act? How can we save some money on our property taxes? Come join us! Give us your opinion. Learn what's at stake.
The ANWSU Act 46 Study Committee invites you to join them for a Community Forum on October 28, 2015 from 6 – 8 PM at Vergennes Union High School to discuss Vermont’s new education law and to help the committee identify issues to be addressed in putting together a proposal for consideration by our communities in March.
The forum will include the presentation of information on Act 46, as well as an opportunity for community input on the key areas under consideration by the committee including:
•The equity and quality of education for our students.
•Efficient operations and long-term financial sustainability.
•Transparency and accountability.
•Other areas to be considered by the committee.
Act 46 creates an opportunity for us to create our own destiny and to do so with substantial incentives for our taxpayers. We want to do this right and need your involvement and support. Please join us for this important forum. For additional information please contact the Superintendent of Schools, JoAn Canning who can be reached at jcanning@anwsu.org.
