Moving Documentary Nov. 5 at the Roxy

I AM A Girl tells the stories of six girls from Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Afghanistan, the USA and Australia as they come of age in the ways their cultures dictate. They are a stories of strength,courage,resilience and refusal to be second best as you will glimpse from the trailer of the movie which is available at iamagirl.com.au or You Tube.

Tickets are $10 and must be reserved in advance through this internet link: http://gathr.us/screening/13259. Part of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to fund and strengthen well-established non-profit programs which serve girls and women. The other part goes to the Roxy for their generous support of the screening.

This screening is being hosted by a group of nature -loving, community-spirited women laughingly known as the Mountain Mamas who get together weekly for outside activities.
