Comfort Food Classics at Old Town Hall Harvest Supper

Past event
Oct 24, 2015, 6 PM

The Harvest Supper is the last official event of the 2015 Old Town Hall series, and it's THIS Saturday at 6pm. This annual event always delivers an abundant and absolutely delicious meal, coordinated by Clotilde Hyrshko of Camp Merrishko. And oh what a meal she has planned!

The vast majority of the veggies being featured will come from Camp Merrishko and most of the meat is coming from a local, grass-fed source. There are also plenty of vegetarian options. Reading the menu in the Herald last night got my tummy rumbling, so for the benefit of those of you who don't get the Herald, let me tempt your tastebuds:

To start: Pea soup with ham, vegetable squash soup with curry, all kinds of salads, lots of bread

The entrees: Red peppers stuffed with meat or veggie fillings, beef stew, mashed potatoes, winter squash & corn casserole, kielbasa & apple scallop, roasted veggies, Indian spiced cabbage, mac & cheese, and baked beans with salt pork & bacon

Dessert: assortment of fruit pies, lemon bars, apple cake, maple ice cream, Hawaiian coconut cake, apple crisp, and more

To drink: Fresh cider from Brookfield Bees and hot tea (and as always, you can BYOB)

And all this for $15/adult and kids 16&under by donation. Quite a deal, quite a meal!

You can still make a reservation with Betsy Hale at bhale0723@gmail.com and we might be able to accommodate walk-ins too. See you at the Old Town Hall!
