Orienteering is a sport -- you use a map and compass to find your way across unfamiliar terrain. Whether you have been doing it for years or are interested in learning this important skill, join us for a day of orienteering at Shelburne Farms on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. A clinic will be held for families or individuals just learning from 9 to 10 a.m. with all orienteering courses starting at 10 a.m. Come for the clinic and course or just run the course! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost for Shelburne Farms members for the program is $10 for an adult and child with $5 for each additional child, for nonmembers that’s $12 for an adult and child and $6 for each additional child. To register for the clinic, go to Shelburne Farms webpage, www.shelburnefarms.org. Walk-ins are welcome to run the course. Presented in partnership with the Green Mountain Orienteering Club.
