BENEFITS AT RISK! What can WE do about it? Annual membership meeting and conference at the Aldrich Public Library, October 24th, 9 to 3. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. Business meeting at 9 AM, election of officers, update on end of life decisions with Cindy Bruzzeze. Keynote speaker, Rich Fiesta, National Alliance for Retired Americans (ARA) director will talk on national budget priorities at 10, followed by Nancy Altman, author of "Social Security Works" to focus on how we can affect national legislation. Lunch at noon included in the $15 registration fee (scholarships available). 1 PM, Paul Cillo of the VT Public Assets Institute will address VT legislative priorities and suggest ways we can make a difference in tough economic times, especially for elders and people with disabilities.
