Newfane Anew Community Volunteers (NACV) invites all to help devilishly make ghouls and goblins appear on Halloween Night, Saturday, October 31st on the Newfane Common. All are welcome to this SECOND ANNUAL PUMPKIN FLASH MOB so please, join the fun carving pumpkins at the Congregational Church in the village of Newfane on Halloween Eve, Friday, October 30th. Please bring your own pumpkin and carving utensils. Children must be accompanied by an adult. So the church does not have to deal with disposing of pumpkin mash or pumpkin seeds, please gut your pumpkins before bringing them to the church. Pumpkin carving will commence around 4:30-5PM in the church hall so come anytime from then on to join in the fun.

NACV also invites everybody to make HALLOWEEN GHOSTS or EERIE HALLOWEEN CREATURES we can position around the Haunted Commons on Halloween. One suggestion: Take a clear plastic water jug and cut holes for ghostly eyes and a mouth. Get a thin stick or long dowel, mount a glow stick to the end of it, then put the water jug on top of the stick, put some gauze or white cloth on top of the jug and let the cloth hang down over the stick or dowel and you have a ghost! Feel free to drop off your creations or bring them along to the church on Halloween Eve, Friday, October 30th and we'll find a spot for them on the Commons during Halloween Trick or Treat. Goodies for the carving fest for those who have a hauntingly good sweet tooth are always welcome!!! Last year we had a blast!
