How do you want to be remembered? Have you written a letter to someone you love telling them how much they mean to you, to be read after you have died? What will your legacy be? Brattleboro Area Hospice invites you to to spend 90 minutes exploring these questions on October 23, 6pm – 7:30 pm at a free presentation, Creating Ethical Wills: Reflections & Gratitude as We Age with Claire Willis, at the Brattleboro Retreat Education Center.
Ethical wills are ‘legacy' or ‘love’ letters, written to those you love to be shared after you are gone. They can also include family stories, blessings and values you want to pass down. They are treasured mementos you can leave for your family and friends. Claire Willis is a clinical social worker, a lay Buddhist chaplain and a yoga teacher. In her private practice, she has spent over two decades working with oncology patients and with end-of-life issues. She earned an M.A. from Episcopal Divinity School and a MSW and an M.Ed from Boston University.
