Come Join Mt. Ascutney Outdoors this coming weekend Oct. 24th and 25th
Mt Ascutney Outdoors is the nonprofit organization that will be developing, managing and financing the future recreational opportunities on Mt Ascutney, Brownsville, Vt.
We are having a work weekend in preparation of the ROPE TOW that we will be installing this fall. This rope tow will be open to everyone and will be free to use.
THIS IS VERY EXCITING !!!!!
When: Saturday and Sunday Oct. 24th and 25th.
10am to 3pm
Come for whatever amount of time you have available. It will be fun with a wonderful group of friends to work on an awesome community project.
Where: Mt Ascutney, Brownsville, VT
Come to the big main parking lot below the burned lodge. The work will be going on up to the right of the burned lodge.
What: We will be working on:
1) clearing the rope tow lift line
2) preparing where the motor for the rope tow will be going
3) preparing the telephone poles for the rope tow
4) Old timing building: cleaning it out, replacing the windows, staining the outside of the building, fixing up the lower lever for the ski patrol and moving the ski patrol supplies into the lower level
5) Cleaning and organizing the ski patrol supplies
6) Lots more of exciting projects
Food: if you can't make it on the work day but wish to help out, we welcome homemade goodies and refreshments for the workers.
Tools: Needed if you have please bring work gloves, paint brushes, hammer, wrecking bar, vise clips, small pipe wrench, chainsaws, pruners, brooms, leaf blower, etc.
Helpers: There is something for everyone to do If you want to help and be part of this exciting project.
Don't worry if you can't make it this weekend we will be having more fun work weekends. We will be installing the rope tow soon.!!!!!!!
