Please help level the playing field for all our children and for making enriching, quality programs available for our kids by enjoying American Flatbread on Tuesday, October 20th from 4:30 p.m. on! The Burlington Students Foundation [BSF] benefits from all large and small Flatbread purchases, whether eat-in or take-out.
The BSF’s mission is to fund enrichment activities for Burlington’s school-aged children during out-of-school time in order to ensure equity in educational opportunity.What BSF raises funds to support programs that provide quality experiences for children.
BSF has helped fund the Middle School Summer Program, which serves about 300 middle school-aged children, by giving them five weeks of programming in the following program areas: the arts, academics, outdoor and athletic activities, and STEM experiences in science, technology, engineering and math.
Across the United States, low and moderate income students who have no summer enrichment activities lose ground. Year after year, BSF grants to the Middle School Summer Program make a difference. Last year, 87% of children who participated in at least 30 hours of programming either increased language arts skills or maintained them over the long summer break away from school.
The Foundation has helped fund theatrical productions, writing, inclusive sports, and science programs at many Burlington schools.
