Celebrate "Rock-Tober"!

Past event
Oct 22, 2015, 7 to 9 PM

Do you ever belt out your favorite old hits while taking a shower or driving to work?
Of course you do!
Join John Harrison and a bunch of fellow rock wanna-bes and sing your heart out! We’ll learn songs from the Sixties through the Aughts. This is a free introductory session (however, donations are welcome!) We hope to create enough interest to continue through the winter. That'll keep you warm!
All songs will be taught by rote using word sheets; no need to know sight reading. There’s no audition. Singers should be able to accurately sing back what’s been sung to them. All ages are welcome; kids under 13 should be accompanied by a parent.
Oct. 22, Thursday 7 – 9 pm
Church of the Good Shepherd
39 Washington Street, Barre
John Harrison leads the Montpelier Community Gospel choir and has been a professional singer and sax player for 40 years, leading his own bands and having played with Buster Poindexter, Denis Leary, The Uptown Horns, Tish & Snooky, Otis Rush, Bobby Radcliff, and many others. He brings to his teaching a deep love of singing and its power to create community, as well as a lot of humor.
