On October 29th at 7:00PM at the Middletown Springs Elementary School, there will be an open Education Forum to discuss Act 46, the new school district consolidation law. Local residents and residents of surrounding towns are invited to join us. The keynote presentation will be by Representative David Sharpe of Bristol, Chair of the House Education Committee. Representative Sharpe will present an overview of Act 46, its goals, and what it does and doesn't require.

At 8:00PM Middletown Springs residents are invited to a break-out session to hear from our local school board about their efforts and obligations under Act 46. Those attending from neighboring towns can stay and continue the moderated Q & A period with Representative Sharpe.

This non-partisan public forum is hosted by the Middletown Springs School Board and co-sponsored by numerous town and area organizations. More information will follow.
