Best Selling Author to Speak

Good Beginnings of Sullivan County (of which I am the Executive Director) is having a one hour fundraising breakfast on October 29th from 7:30-8:30 am at The Common Man in Claremont. Join us and hear New York Times best-selling author Andre Dubus III speak about his years growing up in Haverhill, MA, a town much like Claremont. He had a hard adolescence, much like many of our clients, and found his muscles and his writing were his best defense. He is the author of House of Sand and Fog which was made into a movie starring Ben Kingsley. He has authored several other best-sellers including Townie, his memoire of growing up in Haverhill. Books will be available to purchase and Andre will be available to sign them after the breakfast. We will also be unveiling our new name and logo for the first time. There is no fee to attend the breakfast but registration is required online and donations will be requested at the event. To register go to www.gbnh.org. Hope to see some of my new neighbors at this event.
