At Mater Christi School, being your best is only the beginning. We are a private Catholic school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy that combines rigorous, 21st century academics with a values-centered, global philosophy. From the first day of pre-school through eighth grade graduation, we guide our students’ success by helping them develop their unique strengths. A Mater Christi education transforms our students’ futures and prepares them to transform our world.

MCS offers:

- Acclaimed full-day or half-day pre-school and pre-kindergarten classes

- An outstanding intermediate and middle school program that prepares students from grades 4-8 to succeed in high school

- Extracurricular enrichment opportunities including (but not limited to) coding, Lego robotics, maker’s club, advanced Lego, martial arts, gymnastics club, creative writing, woodworking classes and more

- Technology throughout the school, including a new Makerspace, SMART Boards, iPads, Chromebooks, MacLabs, and 200+ computers in labs and classrooms

- Early care beginning at 7:30 a.m. and after-school care until 6:00 p.m

- Drama program with a middle school production and "Drama Kidz" for younger students

- French classes from kindergarten through grade 8

- A beautiful, safe campus including a playground, basketball court, and soccer field

- Benefit programs available to employees of University of Vermont Medical Center and other area businesses

- Collaborations with community partners including the Tarrant Institute for Innovative Education at UVM, Champlain College, and St. Michael’s College.
