My husband and I, along with Kingdom Trails and the Burke Area Chamber of Commerce are co-organizer of the CircumBurke, an annual running and MTB mountain challenge in memory of Montpelier resident, Dave Blumenthall. We wanted to make sure that our neighbors know about the event. The 26 mile marathon and 20 mile option begins on Kingdom Trails and circles around through Victory and back to East Burke. The wild circuit takes athletes around Burke Mountain and through the Victory Hill trail sector. Participants can run OR or MTB the off-road loop on this day only. All proceeds are used for the trail system. Winner of VT Sports Black Diamond Award for the past two years - voted "Best MTB Ride/Race"
