Retired Dartmouth History Professor and Millinocket, Maine native Jere R. Daniell will give a talk at the Bridgewater Historical Society on log drives that have occurred in the Ottauquechee River and CT River Valley. Speaking from personal experiences and drawing from maps and photographs, his talk will cover getting the trees to flowing water, guiding them down the tributaries and the impact of all of this on local towns.
