To Middletown Springs neighbors:

Last winter I promised to set up a meeting for interested M.S. people to learn about purchasing a whole-house (or nearly whole-house) generator. A little late, but I have finally moved on the issue. We have met with Dennis Riesterer of Sugar Hollow Electric. He is a master electrician and a Generac dealer. Although he is a full-time electrician with VELCO, he works nights and weekends on generator projects (and maybe other electric work). He installs and does regular service on his generators. We have made the decision to purchase a 16 KW generator from him.

Dennis is eager to meet with any size group of folks in M.S. to talk about whole-house generators. He can order smaller auto generators to run part of a house also. I believe he will order non-auto units also. If he gets a large order, he has another electrician he works with for connection to the house wiring. He would want to get all work done by the end of November because of frozen ground and having to level a surface. Some units come with a pre-cast concrete pad that is ready to be bolted to the generator.
