Choose one of two, mellow 3-mile walks
The Human and the Wild: Join VLT conservation ecologist Allaire Diamond and archaeologist Gail Goleck from Monadnock Archaeological Consulting Inc. We'll sleuth for clues to the forest's early human settlements. Discover wolf pines, weird apples and explore the natural history of this ecologically diverse landscape.

Forest Forensics and Stewardship Strategies: Charlie Cogbill, forest ecologist, and Jonathan Decker, VLT Stewardship Manager, will lead a hands-on walk deciphering signs of forest disturbance. We'll poke at stumps, ponder recent storm damage, count tree rings, and discuss how understanding forest dynamics can help us steward the land.

LUNCH: After the walk, enjoy the view while feasting on a lunch made with all-natural ingredients. Vegetarian and omnivorous options available. Bring a blanket and a lawn chair!

COST: Walk is free. Lunch is $15.
