Dana and Susan Robinson, acoustic music duo, will bring their original material as well as unique stylings of old-time and traditional tunes to the Willey Building (Town Hall) in Cabot, 3084 Main Street, this Sunday, October 18 at 3 PM, presented by Cabot Arts. Dana and Susan have just bought the Bromley's restored schoolhouse in Lower Cabot, so this concert will be their new hometown debut! Susan grew up in Manchester, VT, and Dana lived in Westfield in the 90s and ran a folk venue in Newport. Pete Sutherland produced Dana's first CD in 1994 with Patti Casey and Lee Blackwell in the studio, and the couple have just issued their latest, "American Hornpipe". Dana and Susan have been touring widely in the US and the UK, and we hope you all turn out to welcome them to "Tanglewood North"! Admission will be by donation at the door, and there will be an old-time jam session afterwards, so bring your instrument!
And mark Sunday, November 1 on your calendar, when Cabot Arts will present the Perley-Dillon-Black Trio in a performance of Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor and a variety of contemporary compositions at the United Church of Cabot. Watch Front Porch Forum for further details!
