Please join me for the Charlotte premier of my new film, "Jazz Ambassadors". In March I had the privilege of filming the VT jazz band, Eight 02, as they traveled to perform in Yaroslavl Russia. In June I filmed their Russian counterparts, the Overdrive Blues Band, performing at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. The film is about the cultural and musical exchanges that occurred during that time.

Several other Charlotters were involved with this film including Lucas Adler, the drummer for Eight 02; and Alex Bunten, who is a board member of the Burlington Yaroslavl Sister City program.

There will be a reception at 7:00, the film screening at 8:00, then a brief Q and A session. Afterwards some of us will head to Middlebury to catch Eight 02 live at 51 Main.
