Community members are invited to attend an evening of Addison County history. On Thursday, September 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School in Bristol will be hosting the premiere of "Life in Addison County", produced by Peregrine Productions in honor of former Mt. Abe teacher and Vermont Representative Greg Clark. Senator Bill Doyle organized the creation of this 25-minute film featuring interviews from people throughout Addison County about life in the 1920s and 1930s. The movie produced by Mansfield Media Company and sponsored by Heritage Auto and featuring the Bristol Stampede "How to Live to be 100" will then be shown. After these feature films in the auditorium, guests will be invited to the library for refreshments and conversation with the people interviewed in these movies. The evening will be capstoned with student photo stories about the history of each of the five Addison County towns that comprise Mt. Abraham: Bristol, Lincoln, Monkton, New Haven, and Starksboro.
Please extend this invitation for a free evening of fun to anyone you know might be interested!
