Free Community Lantern-Making Workshops for Waterbury's River of Light Lantern Parade
We have a number of spaces left for our Community Lantern-workshop Program for the 6th annual River of Light, Waterbury's Community Lantern Parade- connecting communities through art, music and celebration. This year’s workshops will be taking place at:
- 1. Waterbury: Sat. Nov. 7th 2015 at Thatcher Brook Primary School, Waterbury VT. Time: 10am -3pm (inc. 1hr lunch-break)
- 2. Stowe: Sat. Nov.14th 2015 at Helen Day Art Center, Stowe, VT Time: 10am-3pm (inc. 1hr lunch-break)
- 3. Bolton: Sat. Nov. 21st 2015 at Smilie Memorial School, 2712 Theodore Roosevelt Hwy (Route 2), Bolton, VT Time: 10am-3pm (inc. 1hr lunch-break)
Please note that for the above sessions:
– Workshops are free to attend
– All tools and materials will be provided. If you have a pair of hand-held
pruning shears, please bring them along, it will be useful to have a
pair of your own
– Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. This
activity is not suitable for children under 6
– There will be a limit of 20 participants
– Donations will be welcome
- 4. Special 2-Day Intensive Artists' Lantern Workshop: October 24-25th, 2015. Thatcher Brook Primary School, Waterbury VT. Time: 10am - 4pm on both days.
Adults only. Previous experience of making is advised. Please see website (below) for details.
