All About Bird Watching
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 6-8
Bird watching is one of the fastest growing pastimes in North America,
with over 200 species of birds nesting in Vermont. Maeve Kim will
show photos of Vermont birds in her “Intro to Birding”class, and tell
you what you need to get started in birding, including tools,
resources, and hotspot locations. She’ll follow this with “Fall
Migration of Vermont Ducks, Geese & Raptors” to round out the evening.

Farm to Medicine Cabinet
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 10-12
Kate Westdijk, Food Systems Research Specialist at UVM, will take you
on a tour of medicinal plants on the Hort. Farm, followed by
demonstrations of ways to prepare the plants for your family's
medicine cabinet. Recipes included. EMG-E
