‘The Art of Being Human' Meditation Program Oct. 17-18

Past event
Oct 17 to 18, 2015

One of my favorite meditation programs is being offered at the Burlington Shambhala Center next weekend (October 17--18). I thought I would pass the details on to anyone who is interested in learning how to meditate or looking to deepen their practice. It is open to all.

Shambhala Training Level One: The Art of Being Human is a wonderful introductory meditation program. It introduces participants to the practice of sitting meditation and to the basic principles of the Shambhala path of warriorship. This weekend of practice cultivates openness toward ourselves and our environment, moment by moment. When we practice openness our lives can be a journey of wakeful and genuine existence. Level One includes meditation instruction and practice, talks on the Shambhala teachings, group discussions and dialogue.

No prerequisites, all welcome. The Burlington Shambhala Center is located at 187 South Winooski Ave, Burlington. ContactBill Gagnon at billgagnon117@gmail.com with questions or call (802) 734-7724. Learn more and register online: http://burlington.shambhala.org/program-details/?id=235054

“The premise of Shambhala vision is that, in order to establish an enlightened society for others, we need to discover what inherently we have to offer the world. So, to begin with, we should make an effort to examine our own experience, in order to see what it contains that is of value in helping ourselves and others to uplift their existence." -- Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
