Does Your Dog Smell?

Past event
Oct 6, 2015, 6:30 to 7:30 PM

All dogs smell! That makes them perfect candidates for K9Nosework, a fun new sport that channels your dog's natural hunting instincts into sniffing for specific scents. For those who choose to go on to competition, it is a timed sport where dogs hunt for specific odors indoors and out. Almost any dog can participate, including blind, deaf, handicapped, and mild-moderately reactive dogs. It builds confidence in timid dogs, gives a mental and physical outlet for energetic dogs, and builds a great relationship between dogs and their people.
Holly Godfrey of Diamond in the Ruff Dog Training will be giving a presentation and Q&A session on K9Nosework: What Is It? at the Humane Society of Chittenden County (HSCC) next Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6:30pm. Classes will be starting in the following 2 weeks, most at HSCC and a few independently. Check out HSCC's website www.chittendenhumane.org and register for classes held there. And check out Holly's website www.dogshines.com for other classes. Your dog will love you for it!
