We are SO thrilled to welcome Alison McGhee to the Flying Pig Bookstore on Sunday, October 4th at 4pm.
Alison McGhee is a Pulitzer Prize nominee and a #1 New York Times bestselling author. She is the co-author with Kate DiCamillo of the *Bink & Gollie* series, and several of her picture books have been illustrated by New Yorker cartoonist and Vermonter Harry Bliss.
In *Firefly Hollow*, for ages 7-11, McGhee tells the story of Cricket and Firefly, who have big dreams beyond their small Hollow. Because of this, they're teased by their cricket and firefly friends. When the two run away to meet the miniature giant (a human boy) who lives by the river, they begin an adventure that may just lead to the fulfillment of their dreams.
Beautiful illustrations by Christopher Denise compliment this lovely book.
