TRUNK OR TREAT AT FOLSOM SCHOOL
It’s that time of year again: time to plan for the South Hero Trunk or Treat.
To add to the Halloween fun on South Street, we are inviting people to decorate their vehicles and dole out treats from their trunk for “trick or treating” children. This year the South Hero Fire Department Auxiliary will be offering prizes to the cars who win in the following categories, funniest, most original and most environmentally friendly. Of course if you would like to just come and hand out treats for the tricksters, we’ll make room for you too.
Our goal is to provide a safe environment for island kids to trick or treat and an opportunity for our island community members who live more rurally to join in the Halloween fun.
Don’t miss this year’s Truck or Treat at Folsom School on Saturday October 31st. Come join your friends and neighbors from 5-6 pm. Setup begins at 4:30 in the Folsom School parking lot. Cars will be allowed into the parking lot between 4:30 and 5:00. Between 5 pm and 6 pm cars will not be allowed to enter or leave the area for safety reasons.
The Fire Department is also seeking a community member to judge our vehicle contest. Please let us know if you are interested.
