On Sunday October 4th Visions of Vermont Art Galleries, 100 Main Street in Jeffersonville, is opening an exhibition; “Bridges and Steel”. Included in the exhibition are the works of two local artists, Eric Tobin and Bill Salmon. Eric’s paintings are a selection of covered bridges he has completed over the last 15 years. His work is in recognition of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society’s 15th year anniversary. And it should be noted that VCBS was started right here in Jeffersonville.10% of the sale of Eric’s original work will be donated to the VCBS as will all the proceeds of his signed covered bridge prints..
Bill Salmon’s work of metal sculpture will also be displayed as part of the exhibition. Bill is a seventh-generation Vermonter and metal artist. Bill is the proprietor of Sugarhouse Ironworks. He makes pot racks, railings and does commission work, but is known for his delicate flower sculptures.
