Middletown Springs Historical Society will host their 9th Annual Open House on Sunday Oct. 4 from 2 - 4 pm. Come see the current exhibits. Tour the storage areas and learn how we keep track of and care for the wonderful objects in our collection. Enjoy refreshments and conversation Historical Society volunteers.

At 2:30 join Vermont Historical Society’s Community Outreach Coordinator Eileen Corcoran for a discussion with members of other Rutland County museums and historical societies . The event will include an update on the work being done at the VHS Heritage Center; guided discussion on current topics of interest and concern for organizations; and a chance to talk about what programs and services VHS currently provides to local organizations as well as to discuss what would be most helpful in the future.
Eileen Corcoran is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Vermont Historical Society. She works with the state's over 200 local historical societies and museums, providing technical assistance and guidance to help preserve and promote Vermont's heritage. Eileen has over 12 years of experience working with and for museums and other non-profit organizations, including Town Hall Theater in Middlebury, the Vergennes Opera House, Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, and as Executive Director of the Vermont Museum and Gallery Alliance.
