Artists' Mediums art supply store announces a new class: INTRODUCTION TO COLORED PENCIL

Description: Class will begin with an overview of colored pencils as a versatile and fun medium, by looking at samples from Jean's portfolio including commercial and personal work. A review of related artistic concepts and visual "tools" will lay a foundation for artistic literacy which will serve to expand creativity in any medium. Instruction will include the use of different papers and a variety of application methods. Using an easy-to-draw botanical subject, students will create a finished drawing in colored pencil. The class is designed for absolute beginners- intermediate, though any ability level is welcome to "brush-up" on techniques. Adults and mature teens.
