Please save a portion of your fall appetite for a New England Boiled Dinner to benefit the Twin Valley Senior Center on Saturday, October 17th from 4-7pm. The dinner, to be held at the Senior Center (4583 US Route 2 East Montpelier, VT.), is cosponsored by the Plainfield Coop and is by donation. All are welcome! To help defray the costs of the dinner, we are looking for donations of vegetables and if they're from your garden, all the better!! Veggies needed are: cabbages, potatoes, carrots, onions, and beets. We are also asking for donations of home-made apple pies. Donations can be dropped off at the Senior Center between 8 am and 2pm, Monday Wednesday or Friday. Please let the Center know your donation is for the dinner. The number there is: 802-223-3322. Please deliver your donations by October 14th so we can plan additional purchases, or confirm by phone that you will be bringing a pie and when. Donations of cash to help sponsor the dinner are also accepted and can be brought to the Senior Center or the Plainfield Coop. So, save the date and come together with your neighbors to both celebrate the harvest and support this great organization! The Twin Valley Senior Center does a fantastic job serving seniors in our community, including being the hub for meals on wheels in our area! Hope to see you all there!!
