Horse Workshop October 4th.
Karen Mueller-Harder will be offering a workshop in basic horse care on October 4th from 2-4pm. This workshop will show inexperienced horse enthusiasts how to interact with horses pleasantly and safely, and teach basic horse care, including grooming, feeding, and an overview of what's involved in owning a horse. You will also learn some terminology for parts of the horse and tack (saddle/bridles/etc.), and learn how to "tack up" a horse. There is no set age for attending, but participants need to be able to pay attention for 2 hours without a parent on hand, and behave reliably around animals.
If you're interested in participating, or if you have questions about the workshop, please contact Karen at karen@praxisworks.org (preferred) or 793-5617. Attendance is limited for safety reasons. She may offer a more intermediate-level workshop and/or a shorter session for younger kids (with a parent) in the spring if there is interest, so let her know if you'd be interested in either of those possibilities.
Cost $5.00 per person.
This workshop is a Cabot Agricultural Network program to involve residents of the Greater Cabot community in agricultural in its broadest sense.
