Timebanking Presentation on 7 October in Halifax

On Wednesday, 7 October, Alan Baker will provide a presentation on “timebanking” at the Halifax Community Hall in West Halifax, VT. Timebanking is all about creating and expanding community. A timebank is like a credit union for time instead of dollars. We exchange goods and services with other members, and everyone's time is valued equally. We do more of what we like to do and less of what we don't like to do. As we exchange services, we enlarge our circles of sharing. Brattleboro Time Trade is a non-profit organization with more than 300 members throughout Windham County and beyond. Alan is a Coordinator at Brattleboro Time Trade. You can find more information at http://brattleborotimetrade.org/about.

This program will be hosted by the Halifax Community Club and cosponsored by the Whitingham Free Public Library as part of our continuing efforts to bring varied and interesting programs to the greater community of southwestern Windham county and all who wish to join us. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m., with ample time after Alan’s presentation for discussion. The Halifax Community Hall, located at 20 Brook Road in West Halifax, is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible bathroom. The event is free and open to public. However, voluntary donations towards the winter heat fund, so that the Club can host programs year-round in the historic Hall, would be appreciated.
