The Bennington County Regional Commission is hosting a public meeting to discuss renewable energy planning at the Bennington Museum on Wednesday (9/30/15) at 6:30. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!
This meeting is part of a larger planning project through which the BCRC will develop a regional energy plan that will be used as a pilot for other regions in the state of Vermont. The plan will involve various aspects of energy use, generation (including siting), efficiency, and conservation. The goal of the effort is to identify specific, achievable strategies that will allow the Bennington region to do its part in achieving Vermont's energy goal of supplying 90% of energy from all sectors with renewable sources by 2050.
