Johnson Elementary School will be holding a public hearing to discuss establishing a prekindergarten region (the geographic boundaries in which the district will pay tuition to prequalified prekindergarten education programs) per ACT 166. This public hearing will take place on October 12, 2015 at 6:00pm in the school library as part of the regularly scheduled Johnson Elementary School Board meeting.

“The intent of ACT166 is to ensure families have access to pre-k programs that are of high quality and meet their needs. Establishing a prekindergarten region is intended to preserve local access to prekindergarten education for district children. Therefore, the decision to establish a region must include consideration for the access needs of the families in your district.”
