Past event
Sep 26, 2015

This Saturday is Prescription Drug Take Back Day, September 26 from 10am to 2pm
Safe disposal of unused or expired prescription medications is available at these 6 collection sites in Washington County:
Washington County Sheriff's Department, 10 Elm Street, Montpelier, VT
Northfield Police Department, 110 Wall Street, Northfield, VT
Barre City Police Department, 15 Fourth Street, Barre City, VT
Kinney Drugs, 800 US Route 302, Berlin, VT
Kinney Drugs, 80 South Main Street, Waterbury, VT
Vermont State Police Middlesex, 1080 Route 2, Middlesex, VT

Pills and Capsules only (No Liquids or Syringes)

Most Rx drugs should not be flushed down the toilet, washed down the drain, or composted. Proper disposal helps avoid harming water sources, wildlife, pets, and people. It also helps to prevent theft and misuse by others. We know that much of the heroin problem has started with prescription drug addiction. Help be part of the solution.

Check your medicine cabinets and those of your elderly relatives and bring to a site on Sept 26 or use the permanent, year round, locked drop boxes at the Sheriff's Office in Montpelier and the Barre City Police Department.
