Town of West Rutland Republican Caucus

Past event
Sep 29, 2015, 6 to 7 PM

Hi fellow Republicans of West Rutland,

IT'S CAUCUS TIME!

As you may be aware, in odd numbered years political parties in the state are asked to re-organize (caucus) in September in order to verify before the next election year that there are in fact enough towns with people supporting each particular party.

The West Rutland Town caucus will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015 at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall.

The purpose of the caucus is for party members, residing in West Rutland, to meet in caucus and elect a town committee to serve during the following two years or until their successors are elected or appointed.

The town caucuses will be followed by the County Caucus Meetings on October 15th, 2015. Each town committee sends delegates to the county caucus to elect the officers for the county level. Then in November the state committee caucus receives delegates from each county committee.

Your Republican Town Committee can:

• raise funds to elect more Republicans
• identify and develop potential candidates
• promote voter turnout
• create positive public impressions of who we are
• educate communities about freedom and Republican ideals
• support and encourage our elected Republican legislators
• locally promote candidates and productive ideas
• develop local communications network
• build support of like-minded area business owners
• guide local, county, and state party direction
• encourage one another in unity and purpose
• nominate Republicans to Justice of Peace positions to serve on Board of Civil Authority

Our West Rutland Committee is in need of Republicans to serve. I have been serving as Town Chair but would like to find someone that is a better fit and can do more to organize our town. So much more could be done with the right person at the helm. Maybe it’s you! Call or email me if you have questions or suggestions.
