On Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th from 10am to 5pm, The Vermont Crafts Council presents the 5th Annual Fall Foliage Open Studio Weekend. This year Middletown Springs has four local artisans participating in two different locations. Sissy’s Kitchen, located at 10 West Street, will be hosting Vermont artist Peter Huntoon and his wife Mareva Millarc. Peter will be on site doing a painting demonstration on both Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 2pm. Mareva will be showing her latest non-objective oil paintings that work to convey the infinite. Down the road at 50 West Street, potters Diane Rosenmiller and Nick Seidner will be featuring pots from their recent firings at Rising Meadow Pottery. Visit the gallery to see what is new, shop for seconds and tour the variety of kilns at the pottery. Sissy’s Kitchen will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so plan to pick up a sandwich or something to go and continue your tour to other area participating studios. 2015 Fall Open Studio maps will be available at these participating studios or download and get more information about this event from the Vermont Craft Council website, www.vermontcrafts.com.
