A party commemorating the 186th birthday of Vermont-born President Chester A. Arthur will be held at the President Chester A. Arthur State Historic Site in Fairfield, Vermont on Saturday, Oct. 3rd from 11 am to 3 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Attendants will discover little-known facts about President Arthur in the “True or False Treasure Hunt” and view the permanent exhibit on President Chester Arthur’s life and political career. Activities for children will include face painting and traditional games (with prizes) along with a not-so-traditional “Put the Mutton Chops on President Arthur” competition. Party-goers can also enjoy the beautiful forest trails, maintained by students from Fairfield Center School, and of course, some Presidential birthday cake!
