Gillett Pond Paddling Tour

Past event
Sep 27, 2015

This Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00

Gillett Pond is ringed by gorgeous fall foliage at this time of year, and there’s no better way to view it than from a canoe or kayak out on the pond. On Sunday, September 27, from 1-3 p.m., you can enjoy a free, naturalist-led tour of the pond, starting at the dam on Wes White Hill/Gillett Pond Rd., near its intersection with Durand Rd. Just bring your own canoe or kayak, paddles and life jackets. There’ll also be an update on the project to restore the aged dam so Gillett Pond can continue serving our communities as a natural, scenic and recreational treasure.

Sponsored by the Richmond Conservation Commission, the Huntington Conservation Commission, the Richmond Land Trust and the Friends of Gillett Pond. In case of inclement weather, check Facebook.com/GillettPond to make sure the tour is still on.
