VMTA 50th Anniversary Concert

The Vermont Music Teachers Association will celebrate its 50th Anniversary with a concert on Friday, October 2, 7:30, at the Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College.

Pianist Brian Connelly, from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston,TX will present a program consisting of Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Bolcom and Albright. In addition a world premiere composition by Pierre Jalbert will be performed. The VMTA, with generous help from MTNA, commissioned this piece by Jalbert. Jalbert is a native of Vermont and has written this piece in honor of the VMTA’s 50th anniversary.
