The Rural Junk Ensemble Workshop for Kids!

Past event
Oct 3, 2015, 10 AM to 1 PM

Join The Art House as we build a variety of functioning musical instruments from common household items and garbage! Then, in small ensembles and orchestras or as solo performers participant are guided through an exploration of the uses of non-traditional sound, culminating in a public concert. Give your digitally overfed ear a treat, and come enjoy the sweet sounds of a tin fiddle, or the sour hum of a spice-can membrane horn.
Workshop led by Justin Lander, co-founder of Vermont Vaudeville and a life long junk musician. He also plays the bicycle pump. Class will be held at The Masonic Hall, #34 Craftsbury Village (Bring a Lunch!)
Class Fee: $15
Ages: 7-13
