Grow Your Own (GYO) will host a gathering in Hardwick on October 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the topic of holiday treats. This gathering will be led by Deb Wilson of the deli at Buffalo Mountain Co-op. The group will make popcorn balls and Christmas cookies. Gatherings are free and open to the public but RSVP is mandatory as space is limited. Children are welcome. A meal is shared at the end of each session, and we give away a door prize. Sharing recipies and ideas is encouraged. GYO is a project of the Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE), the Hardwick Area Food Pantry and NEK Kids on the Move. Its mission is to increase food independence, health and wellbeing through shared knowledge and experience. To RSVP call Hardwick Area Food Pantry Coordinator Ruby Dale-Brown at 802-472-5940.
