The Champlain Valley has a rich history, and archeological discoveries have revealed a treasure trove. Anthropologist Andrew Beaupre will explore heritage creation and nation building in that region. "The Role of Archeology in Understanding the French and Indian War" will be his subject, They were "...at war over a few acres of snow", one observer noted. The program will start at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the Aldrich Public Library in Barre. It is free for Osher members, and there is a $5.00 donation for others.
