Jeudevine Library's monthly Book-to-Film program continues on Wed. Oct. 21 at 7 pm with James Hilton's book LOST HORIZON. Copies of the book are available now at the library. The story follows a group of people who survive an airplane crash in Tibet and find shelter at a mysterious monastery called Shangri-la, but unlike most novels, Lost Horizon is less about its characters and their situation--interesting though those elements may be--than it is about their thoughts and ideas. Frank Capra’s 1937 version with Ronald Coleman will be shown with popcorn, cider and discussion following the film. You can attend the film without reading the book.
