NWSWD at Northwest Farmer's Market!

Past event
Sep 19, 2015, 9 AM to 2 PM

NWSWD will be at the Northwest Vermont Farmer's Market in Taylor Park in downtown St. Albans from 9am-2pm Saturday, September 19th. We will have almost-at-cost backyard composters ($45), countertop food scrap collection containers ($5), and recycling bins ($2) for sale. We will also be signing people up to win a free composter/countertop container combo as well as answering questions about waste in NW Vermont.

And...we will be selling our brand-new Food Scrap Drop-Off Kits! The kit includes a 5 gallon bucket with a screw-top lid and countertop food scrap collection container for only $10. It's a wicked deal and includes a easy guide to reducing your trash can habit and getting started on food scrap separation (4 free drop-off locations are currently available in Franklin County)! Reduce what you send to the landfill, save some $$ on trash costs, and help Vermont!

Additionally, we will be accepting small quantities of household batteries for proper disposal (no more than a few pounds per person) at no charge. See you at the Farmer's Market!

Did you know that our Georgia facility recycles things like sap line, used veggie oil, and wood pellet bags?
