Corn, Apples, Cider, and Much More - Farmers Market!

Past event

Hello neighbors,

What are you doing Thursday afternoon? I hope part of your plan for the day includes stopping by the Jericho Farmers Market to get supplies and inspiration for your weekend cooking. The veggie farmers tables are overflowing -including some SWEET CORN and cider and apples!! Agricola Farm did butchering 2 weeks ago and so she has an ABUNDANCE of lovingly raised pastured pork for you - ask her about her farm and her process. There are WONDERFUL cheeses, milk, egg, bread, syrup, honey and maple sugar to round out your list.

Here are some of the items vendors would like to highlight:

Check out our facebook page to see some of the great photos of many of these.

This week, Julia at Vermont Maple Forest Products will have Maple Caramel apples (the apples are from Janet & Perry's Home Farm), maple sugar for fall baking, maple cream- a delicious and nutritious after school snack on apple wedges or graham crackers and fall flavors of maple candy- maple & spiced cider and maple & chai spice.

Poker Hill Gardens will have a variety of perennials which are potted and ready for fall planting. Two of special note are Deinanthe (false hydrangea) and Tricyrtis (toad lily). Tricyrtis is just beginning to flower and will continue until the first frost.

At the Home Farm table Perry and Janet will have SWEET CORN, first of their corn crop. Also CIDER!

And Hot Tamale will return this week - she’ll have a limited menu but is excited to be back.

Jericho Farmers Market runs for 3 more weeks outside at Mills Riverside Park 3-6:30. Then, beginning Oct 15, we will have 5 indoor markets - First and Third Thursdays through December. Hours to be determined - stop by the market office and check out the poster at the table asking for your input on hours for the winter markets:
