Calendar Event: Sep 16, 2015, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home. For this reason, Pathways Vermont's Housing First program has been supporting some of our most vulnerable neighbors make the transition to permanent housing since 2010. With Pathways support, over 170 Vermonters have ended the cycle of chronic homelessness.

Housing First is an evidence-based practice that supports communities to end homelessness. Individuals are provided with permanent, independent housing, first, which is then followed up with wraparound psychosocial support. The model is realizing widespread success across the country. Pathways has seen that it can work here in Vermont. Not only has Housing First proven successful in keeping people housed, but it has also prevented millions of dollars in psychiatric hospitalization, ER, incarceration and emergency housing costs. We invite you to come and hear what we've learned and how you can get involved in ending homelessness in Vermont.
