Another screening of The Vermont Movie will be shown at the Salisbury Public Library this Wed. Sept. 16th at 7 pm. This one called "Ceres' Children', is a deeper look at some of Vermont's cherished traditions: participatory democracy and the ideas of George Perkins Marsh, one of America's first environmentalists.
Also covered is the disappearance of dairy farms in Vermont, yet the emergence of small, local, self-sufficient farms. Can Vermont be a model for the future?
These films are always well done and thought provoking. Hope you can make it to this one. Everyone welcome!
