We'll walk the 150 acres of woods, pastures and croplands of this 1805 dairy farm and talk about the Smiley Farm history and how the family is thinking about using the land in the future. The tour includes the old Cape farm house with its center chimney and beehive oven.
Where: Susan Smiley Farm, 3343 River Road, New Haven, VT
When: Sunday, September 20, at 2pm
What to wear: Please come prepared for walking, and to be protected from ticks (long pants and socks; close-toed shoes). Please bring a water bottle as well, as we'll be away from the house. Rain or shine.
