Next week, on Thursday, September 17, the Huntington Energy Committee will facilitate a forum on many aspects of burning wood for heat. "Woodlots to Winter Warmth: Getting the Most out of your Firewood" will be an evening of presentations, discussion, and conversation with local community members.

Henry, Mark, and Jeff Moultroup and Forester Andy Carlo will be talking about safely, efficiently and sustainably managing a Woodlot for firewood.
Ross Ogilvie and Knox Cummin will discuss types of wood and drying methods.
Ross Ogilvie and Dave Cousins will speak about types of wood boilers and stoves, and Knox Cummin will outline basic combustion principles.
Huntington Fire Chief Tate Jeffrey will advocate safe practices in wood heating.

Audience comments and questions will be encouraged-- we want to share the community's experiences with wood heating to the benefit of all. Please come with a story!
Refreshments will be served at the break.
